One of Scotland’s last remaining family-owned and -run whisky distilleries – Glenfarclas – comissioned me to carve two large birds of prey out of the remaining stumps of two felled trees.
Archibald, the Golden Eagle and Ollie, the Barn Owl are situated in the gardens of the old house at Glenfarclas. The Eagle also commands great views across the visitor centre and Ben Rinnes in the distance.
The carvings took several days and tall scaffold gantries were required.
